Stop Punishing Customers for Using Your Products →
Great post by Zurb, more and more companies are charging for volume pricing (users, space, etc) it drives me mad, things change pretty quickly in a growing company and then  you hit a sad realization with these pricing structures. Charge for features, not users.

Sparrow for iPhone →
Really great app, UX is awesome. But no push email is a big let down, apparently Apple is at fault for not providing an API or letting Sparrow use the VOIP one.  Use it if email is not time sensitive for you. I think I’ll be sticking to mail app for now, I really need new email notifications on my phone.

Twitter Redesigned →
I like the simplicity of the new interface, also how it appears holistic between web and iOS/Android apps. They buried the DM feature somewhere in there, not sure how I feel about this, maybe they want users to stop using twitter as a personal communication platform instead of a social network?  Also, on their last redesign apparently they spend hundreds of hours (and dollars) researching, what...

Inspiration vs. Imitation →
Jessica Hische: Something that I sadly hear too much is that “it’s not illegal to copy someone’s style”. Sure, if you create an illustration that is completely derivative of someone else but not a direct rip-off or tracing, they might have a hard time suing you. That doesn’t make it OK to make derivative work. There’s a difference between being “inspired” and straight up...

Copycats →
It’s thus pretty easy to see why copying happens - because when you see a mature product that’s somehow managed to innovate (to be “new” whilst balancing all the constraints and annoyances of the existing problem), it becomes almost impossible to see how you could do it any other way.

Robert Scoble - Why I'm treating startups more... →
I recommend reading through this article. For the lazy: there are too many startups, and too many copied ideas. Scoble tends to be a little harsh but for the most part, I agree, except for tidbits like this: I hate the term “minimal viable product.” That’s like telling me “we’re shipping without any features because, well, our investors and advisors told us to ship...

Responsive Web Design is NOT Boring
Jonathan Longnecker for .Net magazine discusses in this article about how boring a responsive layout is. Weak article IMO, since he just talks about how css grids constrain your design. Responsive is NOT boring, Grids are NOT boring, your designs are.
